Created in 1940 by writer Bill Finger and artist Martin Nodell, post World War II comics saw a revise of the Green Lantern series in 1059 to include Hal Jordan. And while other Green Lanterns such as Alan Scott, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner have been introduced, Hal Jordan remains the most popular of the earth-born “Green Lantern Corps,” a legion of intergalactic police officers, whose powers, particularly their rings, is granted to them by the Guardians of the Universe. To this day, the Green Lantern remains one of DC Comics’ most revered heroes.
In June 2011, the Green Lantern’s popularity initiated Warner Bros. Studios to release the first ever full-length Green Lantern feature film. Each fine art giclee print on paper in an edition of 250 and canvas in an edition of 100 is signed by Alex Ross.
